… To anyone who is like Arturo, I don’t know if you’re reading this, but this is coming from a person who’s spent who knows how much on CLAMP merchandise and is a die-hard fan since I first watched the Cardcaptor Sakura’s anime WAY back…
People don’t always like everything CLAMP makes… please understand that. Either that, or buy GATE 7′s raws, scan them, translate it from Japanese to English or Spanish or whatever you’d like, edit it, and upload the files on a media hosting website for downloads and/or submit it to MangaFox… this isn’t easy, okay? We all like CLAMP, right? There’s no reason to be rude. I was actually kinda getting into GATE 7, so it’s a shame. Thank you for your hard work and efforts!! Iba a ser educada y no decirte ninguna bordería mas allá de tu falta de respeto por hablar en tu idioma en un lugar donde no es el idioma utilizado, pero chaval, es que eres gilipollas.
El botón de donación era voluntario y estaba para comprar XxxHolic cuando sus raws se vovieron difíciles de encontrar en una calidad aceptable. Pero claro, a tí que más te da, si seguro que te basta con leer una traducción casposa en un archivo pixelado.
Pero aquí había muchos fans a los que nos gustaba FailManga porque era una traducción cuidadosa y de calidad, y que aunque tardaran más de lo habitual, al final todos obteníamos GRATUITAMENTE una traducción excelente.
Qué fácil es criticar el trabajo de otros mientras estás sentado rascándote tus gónadas en una cómoda silla. Gente como tú es la que desvirtúa el manga y crean esa imágen pública de que los que siguen el manga y el anime son una panda de críos maleducados y repelentes. Y también es gente como tú la que da una horrible imagen de los hispanoparlantes. MADURA.
On the other hand, I feel in the need of apologize because I really never thanked Failmanga for it’s great translations. You made me inmensely happy taking Kobato where CLAMP no Lumiere left it. It was a pleasure to read your translations, always clean and well writen (translation-wise, we all know how much that ending sucked).
I also started reading Gate 7 on this web, although I wan never really into it. I’m sorry to hear that you finally stoped because of a jerk like Arturo. I totally understand that you were not too interested in Gate 7, and I suppose that was the last strand you could take.

Come on, guys!! There’s no reason to fight anymore. Fail Manga has decided to close. It’s a shame, but I don’t think there is much that can be done. From what I know, there is another group scanning/translating GATE 7 already. (But I think chapter 7 is delayed due to Raw-Bunko not providing GATE 7′s raws anymore.) Personally, I’ll be picking up my copy of GATE 7 when it comes out in the U.S. (In hopes that William Flanagan leaves us plenty of nice, translator’s notes.) Sorry if I offended anyone with my previous comment, but I feel like the hard working groups who take the time to translate, (especially with a rather complicated and historical manga like GATE 7) really need to be thanked. So, as fellow CLAMP fans, can’t we all just agree to get along? x]]]

You seem to not understand what running a site for free means. Did you pay to see any of the content? No. That means it was FREE. The people who understood that FailManga was doing a SERVICE to CLAMP fans with their own money DONATED to help them out, because they APPRECIATED what was being done for them. There was no requirement for you to pay to get into the site, therefore it was free, and you are an idiot for not being able to grasp that simple concept.
Was this site under any obligation to scan CLAMP works for us? No. Did they do it for you specifically? No. Did they do it for the fans and out of a love/hate relationship with CLAMP? Yes. I’ve never been so disappointed. What Arturo did was rude, disrespectful, and ungrateful.
I’m not rich, but I make enough money to be able to buy my own magazines and read them with my modest Japanese. I enjoyed the scans that Fail Manga provided because, for one thing they were beautifully created, and for another I was able to enjoy CLAMP in my native tongue.
By all means, those scans belonged to you and it’s your right to do with them as you please.
I can completely understand how one person can really, really make you upset and make you want to destroy that person.
